Greetings! Christmas is around the corner and if you are like me, you are running around like a headless chicken to get the last of the Christmas presents.
This leaves very little time to cook. So when it comes to a holiday party, I want something that everyone will love without me spending too much time in the kitchen.
My favorite go-to recipe this time of year is garlic butter shrimp.

This simple garlic butter shrimp recipe or tôm xào bơ tỏi is whole shrimp pan-fried in melted butter, Bay Seasoning, Cajun Seasoning, Lemon Pepper seasoning, garlic and sugar. .
All the seasonings in this recipe (Bay Seasoning, Cajun Seasoning and Lemon Pepper Seasoning) all has salt in them so the recipe below simply uses a little of each.
For this recipe, I like to use whole shrimp with peel and tail that I deveined with a toothpick. The tail makes a nice handle when eating with your hands.
For a quicker option, get shrimp already deveined and peeled, which is readily available in the freezer aisle. Tail optional.
Recipe below. Enjoy!

Description
A simple garlic butter shrimp recipe. It’s quick to make and a definite crowd-pleaser.

- 1 stick unsalted butter (8 tablespoons)
- 1 head garlic (chop)
- 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons ground cayenne red pepper
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
Instructions
- Melt Butter: In a large skillet with a lid, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add Seasonings: Stir in the garlic, Old Bay Seasoning, Cajun Seasoning, Lemon Pepper Seasoning, paprika, and sugar. Mix well to combine.
- Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, tossing until evenly coated in the buttery seasoning mixture. Cover the skillet with the lid to retain moisture and cook the shrimp faster without burning the garlic. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through and opaque.

For a less spicy version, substitute cayenne for paprika.
