- 2 lbs bone-in pork chops (flatten thin)
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon chicken or mushroom bouillon powder
- 2 teaspoons five-spice powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons minced lemongrass
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced shallots
- Scallion oil (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Make the marinade: In a large bowl, mix together fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, bouillon powder, five-spice powder, sesame oil, lemongrass, garlic and shallots. Adjust to taste if needed.
- Marinate pork: Add pork chops and marinate at least 1 hour or overnight in the fridge for best results.
- Cook and garnish: Grill on high heat for 3-5 minutes per side. Brush scallion oil on cooked pork chops for a beautiful finish.
