Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 lb salmon fillet
- 1 tablespoon miso paste
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh is best)
- Neutral cooking oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the Salmon: Start by rinsing the salmon with cold water to remove any sliminess. Scrape against the skin to remove any lingering fish scales. If you don’t like the skin, pour boiling water over it and pull it off. Once rinsed, pat the salmon dry with paper towels, then cut into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
- Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix miso paste, soy sauce, honey, and garlic. If you like it spicy, add your favorite hot sauce, like Sriracha. Coat the salmon bites with the sauce. No need to wait for marinating. You can air fry immediately.
- Air Fry: Generously spray the inside of the air fryer with cooking spray or grease it with oiled paper towels to prevent sticking. Place the salmon bites in the air fryer basket, skin side up if applicable. Spray the top of the salmon bites with oil until lightly covered. Set your air fryer to 400°F and cook for 8 minutes or until caramelized on the outside. Baste with drippings for a glossy finish (optional).
- Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked, remove the salmon bites from the air fryer. You can enjoy these salmon bites as an appetizer or pair them with rice or noodles. Add your favorite vegetable sides for a complete meal.
